Alan and I went to Thanksgiving Point today to see the tulips. They are absolutely beautiful. The weather was great for all the walking we had to do. It is a wonderful place to take kids. There are a lot of things for them to do.
The Waterfall Amphitheater is the largest man-made falls in North America.
There are over 250,000 tulips planted of various colors and types. They are breath taking. Pansies are planted through out the tulips to fill in the spaces.
Once you are inside the garden, you cannot imagine that all of this beauty is inside the city. You have the feeling that you are in a place far away from buildings and city life. We are anxious to return and take advantage of all of the other places to visit such as The Museum of Ancient Life, Farm Country, Children's Discovery Garden,Show Barn, and Electric Park. Afterwards we ate lunch at the Trelis Cafe which was very good. They have the very best Coconut Macaroons.
